Burwood Group Achieves Palo Alto Networks Traps Specialization

Chicago, IL – September 12, 2017 – Burwood Group, a leading consulting firm that bridges business strategy and technology solutions, announced today that it has earned the Palo Alto Networks® Traps™ Specialization, awarded to Palo Alto Networks NextWave channel partners who have the expertise required to successfully sell, deploy and manage an advanced endpoint solution.

“Burwood Group is extremely proud of this achievement towards building an even stronger security practice,” said John Curin, VP, Strategic Solutions, Advisory Services at Burwood Group. “This specialization demonstrates Burwood’s expertise in equipping our customers with the most effective technology to prevent security breaches and protect and enable end users.”

Most organizations deploy a number of security products to protect their endpoints, including one or more legacy antivirus solutions. Nevertheless, cyber breaches continue to increase in frequency, variety and sophistication. Faced with the rapidly changing threat landscape, current endpoint security solutions and antivirus can no longer prevent security breaches on the endpoint. Palo Alto Networks Traps advanced endpoint protection replaces legacy antivirus with a unique multi-method approach which combines effective, purpose-built, malware and exploit prevention that pre-emptively blocks known and unknown threats from compromising a system.

“Our customers are increasingly needing new endpoint security strategies to prevent cyber security breaches,” said Justin Flynn, Technical Architect Manager at Burwood Group. “Traps tackles breach prevention with a unique approach that preemptively stop attacks by blocking the very techniques that modern-day attackers rely upon.”

An integral component of Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform, Traps advanced endpoint protection secures endpoints with its unique multi-method prevention capability, blocking cyber breaches and successful ransomware attacks that leverage malware and exploits, known or unknown, before they can compromise macOS™ or Windows® endpoints, such as laptops, desktops and servers.
